The Synthetic and Art Silk Mill's Research Association (SASMIRA) was established on January 12, 1950 and is an approved body of the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India.

SASMIRA's Business School (SBS) established in the year 2018 belongs to the family of 75 years old SASMIRA, which has a rich educational heritage in the area of Textile and Management education. 

SASMIRA's Business School (SBS) offers Two Years Full Time Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) with Dual Specialization approved by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, and Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Maharashtra and Govt. of Maharashtra. It is located at Worli, in the heart of Mumbai city which is the commercial capital of India, thus providing SBS with a strategic advantage of having a strong industry interface.
